I was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. As a child I went on a lot of camping trips, played in the dirt, climbed trees, spent a lot of time in the music room and was deeply involved in modern dance.  I was seven years old when I saw birth for the first time. I comforted my mother as she labored into the early morning and witnessed my precious little sister come into the world. It was an intense and beautiful experience that began my interest in pregnancy and all the wonder of new life.

I moved to Santa Cruz in my 20s and loved living near the beach while attending UCSC. I now live in Redwood City with my wonderful husband, bonus daughter and 3 precious cats. I am a pretty science minded person but I also enjoy playing my ukulele, crafts, hiking and restorative yoga. After graduating UC Santa Cruz I spent a decade working as a nanny, 6 of those years with the same family. I have enjoyed shifting my focus to doula work and I feel privileged to witness & support new and growing families!
